Kristy and Traci:  I wanted to drop a quick note to tell you how happy we were to come to your show yesterday with Johnny.  It was a perfect opportunity to give him the nudge to move up a division and feel comfortable in doing so.  You've got a great set-up and good people around you  We were really pleased.  Thanks so much!   Tanja Heather

Hi Kristy,
It has been a year since I purchased Bob from you so I thought I would drop you a line on our continuing life together.  Bob and I managed to hunt  (regular season and capping) seven times last season with Bull Run Hunt, Casanova Hunt and Rappahannock Hunt.  This season I have renewed my hunt single riding membership with Bull Run so Bob will start his career as a field hunter in earnest.  We did manage to attend a horse show where we placed 6th in a walk-trot pleasure division class. Bob's first horse show and I have not shown in over eight years and he handle himself with style - however he did look at the banners on the side of the ring advertising the show sponsors but it was a first for him.   We even  tackled  the area of dressage. Bob and I went to the Old Dominion Hounds Pony Club Dressage And Combine Test Show in July and rode the Intro Test B.  Bob's score of 65% was good enought to place 4th out of 14 rides.  Not bad for a green horse and an rider who has not ridden a dressage test in over eight years.  So with hunt trail rides and working with Renee Carter, Bob and I are working toward the fall and the hunt season.  With a little luck, we may even attend one of  your Wednesday night shows. Who knows?  Bob also loaned me his shoulder to cry on when I put my wonderful field hunter and partner of fifteen years, Henry, to sleep last May. So Bob knows he has big hooves to fill but in his own way he is showing that he is an individual himself. So take care and Best Wishes - Marianne Sobchak and Bob

Kristy, I am going to try and send you some new picture's of Duchess.  This may not work for me, but I will try.  Let me know if this works. Stacey Taylor

Kristy,I don't know if you remember me, but I bought a horse named Red (half Percheron, half TB) from you earlier this year. (I've renamed him Jackson because we already have a Blue.) I just wanted to let you know that I'm absolutely thrilled with Jackson. He is an utter joy on both the hunt and in the ring, and he has made me a better rider. I want to thank you for bringing that guy into my life.  With best wishes and gratitude, Jeannette

Kristy,  I know I have bragged before about Sleepy but I can' tell you what an awesome pony he turned out to be-all heart, no natural ability but the biggest heart on earth.  He will never leave here.  He is going to games rally this weekend and then pony club camp.  He has won the 30 mile ride 2x and he events, rides with the huntsman, my son can rope off him.  He would ride a bike if we asked him!  So, just find us another one like that in a big size and we will come buy it! You have a great eye for horses! Good luck with the babies.  Spring is an exhausting time when you are foaling out! Sounds like you are almost there!  We are ready to buy.  Please let us know. Thanks Kristy.  Pam French Windemere Farm

Kristy, thanks again for all of your help, in both my buying and selling horses. I, of course, would recommend your services highly on both ends. I did get your message today and understand what you are saying. The reasons you gave ARE the reasons we sent Taz to you. Katie just had no time for him, I'm hoping he got a great home.....Kathy

Hi Kristy,  Just wanted to let you know that Gus arrived yesterday afternoon. He is doing great and Lusa (his new mom) absolutely loves him. He wasn't phased by his travels cross country, eating and drinking really well. Thanks for everything, it was a pleasure working with you and Traci. Thanks again,  Mandy Schaub

These responses have been taken from the Chronicle Forums around Mar. 12, 2008:

lovemytbs: I am interesting in a horse this farm is bringing to the sale and was wondering if anyone here had any experiences with these people? Please PM me with your positive or negative thoughts. Thank you. Kristy seems really nice and I'd love to hear some feedback!

Janet schoolmaster: Picturesque is (or at least used to be) an acitve member here. I've never bought a horse form Kristy, but all my interactions with her in other respects have been helpful and straightforward.  Janet  chief feeder and mucker for Music, Spy, Belle, and Chief. Someone else is now feeding and mucking for Brain

Windswept Stables: I have not purchased anything from them, but I think Kristy has a good reputation in the horse world. Have never heard anything bad.  Windswept Stables -Specializing in Ponies Sales, Training, Showing and Stud Service  www.EmpiresPower.com

Keepthelegend: Kristy is wonderful and great to deal with. I would buy anything from her. I have broken a few horses and ponies for her and seen them on the website later on and she described them perfectly. The whole family are great and very knowledgable. I just bought a broodmare from her sister the other month.

Pinkme: I have done business with her, and she is great. Seems honest, wants what's best for the horse...Some of her horses she sells are great, some are lesson-y horses, but she doesn't try to misrepresent what they are.

Karizma1: We visited Picturesque Farm a little over a year ago when we were pony shopping. All the ponies looked like they were well started the right way and went around nicely for the kids. Kristy was very professional and was nice to deal with too.

Abbydp: I pm'd you. Just wanted to post as well. I dealt with Kristy a while ago. She was very straight-forward, honest, and seemed to really care about her horses and where they were going. I have my horse of a lifetime because of her! So Kristy - thank you again!!

SpingOakFarm: I have looked at horses at Picturesque...but didn't purchase. Nice horses, nice facility, and Kristy is very honest. I have also observed her and riders from her barn at shows. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a horse brought to the auction by them.

REH:  I've known Kristy for years....she does a great job and is honest and easy to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to send people her way and i have tried horses of hers before and know several lovely horses that came from her.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words...Kristy

Kristy, I just wanted to say thank you so much for Ellie. She is a hard working mare with a huge heart. Every time we try something new, she puts her whole heart into it. She may possibly one of the best mares I have ever ridden and I've only had her a week. She tries incredibly hard and I couldn't ask anything more of her. Thank you again, for letting my instructor, Denise, and I own your mare. She is lovely.  Nicole B.

Just wondering if Goody has a Horse Recording ID for USEF?  If not, I just need his date of birth so we can get him one!
So far he has settled in fine.  Nothing seems to faze him!  We are planning on taking him to a show March 22.  Will let you know how it goes! Thanks,  Lindsay

Just wanted to let you know that Goody arrived around 2am this morning!  He was happily munching on hay in the trailer.  The shipper had nothing but good things to say about him and Goody unloaded like a pro.  He was perfectly happy to spend the night in a stall, all he cared about was that there was hay in there for him!  Lindi was waiting at the barn untill 9pm last night hoping that she would be able to see Goody.  She is very excited about him.  Thank you so much for all your help and for a wonderfull pony!  I will keep in touch!   Lindsay G.

Kristy,   Hope all is well with you. We brought Monte home toward the end of January,  and despite some bad weather, Lewis has been able to ride 3 or 4 times a week.
He and Monte are beginning to bond, and Monte seems to be quite happy. He is relaxed, getting a little fat, but that's okay, too. He looks excellent, his coat is shiny, and his eye is kind. The grumpiness is all but gone, and he seems to really like Lewis. (When Lewis rides, he always whistles, and at first Monte didn't know what to make of it - ears back and forth - but now as soon as he hears it, his whole body just goes into relax mode ' oh, yeah, that's the boy') (I REALLY like this horse!) Pam is going to keep riding him occasionally, to put him over big boy fences, and he
is doing great. He loves it! I'll send some pix when we get some good ones. This is going to be a fun horse, and we appreciate your solid and true representation of him.
Anyway, thanks, and we would come back for another horse.  Thanks, Ann

Hi Kristy,  I took a couple of photos of Emma and Zoe feeding Peanut and Fudge last Thursday. I wanted to share them with you and Linda. The girls really enjoy the lessons with Linda – they are doing great! Emma talks about Fudge all week long! Regards, Lea Anne Bryan (Emma Bryan-Wilson’s Mom)

Kristy - just a quick update to let you know Hailee is settling in fine.  She was a little nervous the first couple of days in quarantine - due mostly to the donkey they put in as her companion!  Once she got used to him she was fine.  Now she's figuring out her place in the herd of 9 mares.  Laura or Bonnie ride her most days, she's been on a long trail ride, and explored the cross-country field to look at all the jumps.  Pass this on to Brittany,  Susan

Kristy.  I've been meaning to write you sooner but there was a death in the family.  "T" is doing very well.  To my surprise, she settled right in and took minimal time to adjust to life at a new place.  Everything is completely different for her yet she has taken it all in stride.  I've been doing a lot of slow yet consistent work with her in the ring and it really seems to pay off.  She stands quietly at the mounting block and has been really good about her lead changes.  She did have a slight tendency to want to rush the jumps a little bit indoors but I've pretty much got that under control.  The winter is a great time to work on the basics and iron out the wrinkles.  I ordered a Devoucoux saddle.  Unfortunately, it takes 8 - 10 weeks to come in.  Once the saddle comes in it will be spring and hopefully we will be ready to start showing.   Best wishes,  Nicole Rinker

Hi, Kristy,  All is well; I am taking your wraps to the PO today. We have all been sick with different versions of the flu, so I'm behind. Lewis has had
several opportunities to ride, however, and Pam has put Monte on a regular schedule. They are doing very well together, he really is a cute horse. First
time together, Lewis rode under Pam's instruction, then walked Monte out and about the farm - both were very relaxed. Second trip, she left him alone, and
he hacked him around for about 30 minutes (while recovering from the flu) Anyway, it's going to be a good match. Lewis likes him "way better than
Charlie" - my horse, so that tells us what we need to know. Once they get going, I'll take a few pix to send. Hope all is well with you, and Happy New Year!  ANN

Hi Kristy,  Just wanted to touch base and let you know that Matrix and I are doing very well.  He is wonderful.  Full of personality and kindness.  Our trust for each other is growing everyday.  I am so happy to have him.  You put together a great match. Jaci

Finally got some shots of Dunkaroo from Amanda in TN.  She says he is in short strirrup heaven!! He is not going anywhere, tons of kids lined up for him.  Linda

Here are some pictures of Spring Fling taken in August. She has been so good and very accepting of everything we have done. Her outlook is fantastic, she is curious but calm and has enough confidence to be able to work on her own. I love her !! We will turn her away now until the spring and then resume her training.  When I visited this summer you said you would send me some information on some of the young stock - yearlings and two year olds- suitable as prospects for fox hunting and eventing. I'm still interested. Thanks.
Sharon

Hi Kristi - this is Kay Slater who bought "Scotty" - the little pinto pony for my son, Ben, last year, who, by the way is doing wonderfully - they have even started jumping x rails together! Now, I am trying to find the right horse for me!! Again, we are loving Scotty!  Thanks for your thoughts on horse matching up!  Kay Slater

Kristy,  I thought I would give you an update on the continuing story of Bob and myself.  Bob has started his career as a field hunter.  Bob had his first cubbing with Casanova Hunt and he was wonderful. Of course, there were the certain  surprises that come with new experiences but on the whole for his first time out with the hilltoppers he was wonderful boy.  His second cubbing was last Saturday (September 22nd)  with my hunt, Bull Run Hunt, and what a day we had. Bob proved himself to me beyond a doubt not only taking very good care of me but he handle himself as a seasoned field hunter. The territory, footing, hounds and pace was no problem with him. He kept up with a very fast pace and refused to quit. Everyone in the hilltopping field was surprise when I told them that this was his second time out with a hunt. I was so proud of him that day.  I would like to add that it has been five years since I rode in the hunt field and Bob has made my return possible. In fact, I didn't return to riding until April of this year.  Thanks for taking the time to show me this wonderful horse.  Bob is priceless to me.  Good hunting. Marianne Sobchak

Kristy, Bentley and Mikayla completed their 1st HT this past weekend at Frying Pan Park.  They did pretty well.  Mikayla's dressage score was 33.7 and that as their very first recognized test, and they have only being working on dressage for a few weeks with only 1 combined training test under the belt!   He is a quick study!  J.T.

Hey Kristy - I am so proud of Rambo...he is SUCH a good boy. I took him to Tom Finch's Thursday schooling show last week & this week.  Last week he overjumped everything ....and still got a 6th out of a large division over fences & a 3rd on the flat.  This week he was SO much better.  He pinned in every class - and all the classes were large 15-20ish. He got 3rd, 4ths, 5ths and 6th. I took him in the pleasure division & the low.  This time I could almost ride him around the course on a loose rein.  Lots of people have asked or commented about how nice / fancy he is......including Russ Walther. Ideally he needs 1 or 2 more shows with me before someone else should try to show him. Someone who used to ride for you (Jill ) told me she thought he looks great. I had a good novice rider test ride him at my place to see how he was with another rider.  First time he was alittle worried....after that he figured her out & has been perfect.  She hasn't jumped him yet - just courses of poles on the ground.  Here's a couple pics of him.  (Not the best pics).   Also, that little pony you sold me as a babysitter is adorable.    Paula Nevins

Hi Kristy,  I thought I dropped you a note and let you know how Bob is settling in. He does like to eat.  Bob and I are starting our partnership and he has developed a liking for carrots and apples. We have a lesson once a week with Renee Cater in dressage for balance, steering and leg aides. I took Bob to both the Bull Run Hunt and Rappahannock Hunt trial rides. Both to expose him to trailering and lots of horses - he was a star.  In the Bull Run Hunt Ride, Bob jumped a small ditch - not wide but deep about a foot wide and he landed a good three feet and I stayed on (better yet). In the Rappahannock, Bob showed his displeasure at being left behind by doing some "airs above the ground" -- some bucking. Not enough to get me off but to show he was not happy.  Better yet, I stayed on.  I did manage to get a ride around Mt. Sterling Farm and Bob did not like crossing a small stream of moving water but with patience and encouragement (legs) I got him over.  This weekend, we are attending a session of the Cassanova Hunt clinic on fox hunting.  So we are moving toward the hunting season.  So take care and thanks.  Marianne Sobchak and Bob

Hey Kristy its Kathleen L. Just wanted to drop a note and say casey and i are doing great. we have been working hard this whole summer. i decided at the beginning on the summer to train him to go western. he has been doing so well! he has a beautiful head carriage and we finally have the jog down. i am so proud of him, he has come a long way in just 2 months. we still ride english once or twice a week and practice jumping, but he has really picked up on the western and i think he enjoys it. his balance has been off lately so we are doing tons of circles and figure eights, trying to build those muscles up. my friend sarah and i are working hard to get him ready for shows this fall. i am super excited to see what casey can do in a western show. I was able to get my senior pictures taken with casey last week. the camera wasnt too great but i still like the way the pictures turned out.  Hope everything is going well for you. hopefully camps are going smoothly. i am actually the head riding instructor for a horse camp in alexandria. i am busy with 12 hour days and lessons to teach, but its all really fun work.  Hope to see you soon,   Kathleen L.

Kristy -   I was cleaning out my email box and found your message. I thought you might be interested in an update on Bax.  His dressage work is amazing (First Level stuff). We are now focusing more on jumping. I have him boarded where there are 200 acres of trails and x-country riding. He loves it. It took me a few weeks to teach him that we weren't going fox hunting :) and that he needed to focus. He gets a little drunk on galloping. He loves to go, and I do too - so we are a match. I rode him in a X Country Clinic with Ralph Hill and Werner Geven at Poplar Place and had a blast ---that is the only time I let him go all out. I am trying to get him on steeplechase/ gallop track soon. I attached some photos for fun. If you are in touch with Mark, feel free to forward them along. Bax's birthday is this month - he may be thinking of him.    I am entirely in love with him and will always take care of him. Thanks, Heather A.

Hey Kristy, Congrats on your sale of Ebbington - Ashley is doing will with him and he is beautiful.  Here are a couple pics of KASSIDY and BAXTER.  They are doing GREAT together and she LOVES him more than anything in this world.  If you could forward these to your friend who sold us Baxter that would be great.  Cassandra Scott

Hey,  Thanks for all your help in bringing William to us.  He is indeed living up to his name. of course, my horses have already broken isolation (my bad filly,
Dahlia did) tomorrow my coach meets William and i have a late day lesson. oh yes,  the only time he ran bucking around today was when he didn't have a
good view at dusk of his new friends...yesterday, he ran, galloped and then worked down to a nice 3-beat, finally trotted and then walked in his
"field". Kristy, thank you, and my entire family of friends, thank you. especially Steven!   Susan

Kristy,   Here is a picture of Mikayla and Bentley.  We would love to let the previous owners know how he is doing.  Is there a way you could have them contact me?  We could send pictures and let them know when we will be eventing him.   It was a rough start, 2 weeks after we got him some how or another he strained his stifle while out in the pasture.   Mikayla had not even ridden him yet, poor kid.  well after some stall rest, and now being with a trainer to strengthen him, this is where we are.  He is living in Marshall, VA now and has lots of roaming room!    Joann & Mikayla Townsend

Dear Kristy,
This is Clair Allison, I purchased the pony Black Lace from you back in October.  I am pleased to tell you that she has done wonderfully and has found
a new kid to ride, show and love her.  Her new Owner is Olivia and she lives in Shreveport, La. Lacey will be traveling with them to Colorado this
summer to horse show.  It's a great family and the kid simply loves her! Hope all is well at Picturesque farm.  Clair (Clairmont Show Stables)

Another year has passed and we still haven’t made it to one of your shows!  Attached is a photo taken at Alex & Velvet’s first Combined Test.  Alex went off course but they still made a great showing. They even got some 8s on their dressage test.  Velvet can still be hard headed. J Their real strong suit is cross country but we’re waiting just a little longer before he competes in all three events.  Velvet remains drop dead gorgeous and opinionated.  She and Alex are quite the pair.  Give my best to your Mom.   Kathey Tonnacliff

Hello, Wanted to let you know that Mr Goodbar went to his first horse show this weekend with Meghan and was a star. He was so quiet and rideable. His only misstep was a classic green horse spook: the dressage judge reached her arm out of the booth as he was coming around and rang the bell to signal Meghan to enter…he was so startled he headed for home (without Meghan) in a hurry! But they rebounded and had a great day. Thanks for helping us find him for Meghan.      Best Roxanne Booth

Dear Kristy:
This is a quite belated message to tell you how happy we are with Delilah, how much we love her, how impressed other trainers/the farrier/spectators are with her.  She is, according to a trainer we know, "wicked smart", and has just gotten better and better. Julie took her to a local show in the fall, sort of out of the blue, and placed first.  She was perfect on the trailer (a 2 horse) even when the pony on the other side started rearing.  She never misbehaved once.  I now ride her as well periodically.  She is fun, easy and comfortable.  Obviously she still does little baby things given her age, but always comes back to us without incident.  She is just wonderful.  At present, the plan is for Julie to take her to college, depending on where she goes (Julie graduates in 2008).  They are just a match for each other in virtually every way.   Just wanted to let you know how extremely well this worked out for us.  Many thanks and best regards,  Kathleen Raynsford

Remember us? The Boutot's from northern NH. We bought Petey last April at your farm. He has been a dream, great first pony for any kid. Here's the problem, Alyssa grew 4.5 inches in a year and is now 5'2 and still going. Do you have anything there 14.3-15.2, dead quiet for a beginner? Age doesn't really matter, 15 yo or less would be great but not too young as Alyssa is really a beg. rider and pretty timid.
Petey cleaned up at the walk-trot shows... such a cutie. We would be looking for something safe, not fancy, that she can trail ride and swim with her friends. The shows up here are really just for fun, and I don't see her doing anything rated any time in the near future. She was looking at your site and saw a paint which ad says is bombproof, but seems young?? What do you think? Is there anything else you have that isn't advertised on site (lesson horses?)
Thanks  Becky Boutot

Kristy,

This is a long over due Thank You!  I purchased "Twoeyed Victorydance" aka Victoria from you going on two years ago. (February 2005)  I was the person who drove from NJ to see only her!  I never really thanked you for hauling her to Spulocks for her vetting!   I just wanted to tell you that she is everything you had advertised and more!!   Attached to this e-mail is a picture taken in November.  We are just starting to show in the Adult Hunters.  AND, we are planning on showing at Devon this year in the Ladies Side Saddle division.  Hopefully I will have a photo to send you of us aside as well!  Thank you again!!!   Dawn Mazzaccaro

You do not have to put all on website. I just wanted to show you what he is up to. If you would like I can send more of him playing in the snow. He loves going in the snow...he has a blast. Also its weird but his best friend is not our other horse it is our little cat. Our other horse we have to keep the cat away from but Petey plays with him.....so cute. he nudges the cat with his nose and the cat plays on its back and loves to look up. Also Petey likes to paw and move his feet but when the cat goes near him he holds totally still and lets the cat wrap is tail around hoof to take a rest. I will send more pics for you of him playing in snow tomorrow. Hope you will be able to see pic.

Alyssa & Petey

Hi Picturesque Farm,

I was just writing you to tell you how Double Take "Petey" was doing. Just to refresh your memory I bought him last April. When we did the horse shows at our local fair we took first in just about every class in walk trot. We have been jumping now too. We have been jumping about 2'9" and higher. I am so happy that we bought him. He is so fuzzy right now. His coat is about  a inch 1/2 deep. He looks like a wooly mammoth! For his first winter up here in NH he is doing great. The cold weather makes him full of energy and when we let him out in the paddock he loves to run around and play. He is definitely Boss of our other mare. He lives with us now so he is no longer boarded. I can't even believe that even when he was boarded with other horses he was boss. He is so cute and when I use my other computer I will send you some great pictures of him.   Thanks   Alyssa and Petey

Kristy,

Hey, We bought Jasper from you in late October, and just thought I would send some pictures along. Jasper went to his first show last weekend and cleaned up pretty nicely, receiving his first blue ribbon and several thirds in his jumping classes over 2'3. He has currently schooled over a 2'9 course, and shows promise with an often automatic lead change. We absolutely love Jasper for his cute, playful personality and his willingness to try anything. Thank You so much!!! The Jackson Family

Kirsty,
I bought a pony from you about 5 yrs ago.  My daughter has outgrown him and we are looking for a clone of him but about 16.0 hands or so!  His name is Overexposed, a paint pony that was green and very quiet.  My daughter foxhunts, events BN/N, pony club at C1 level, does the 30 mile ride at the Homestead and will try just about anything!   Sleepy (Overexposed) has learned to do it all.  So, I am mainly looking for that same brain and not as concerned about what the horse has done.  Addie ( my daughter) is 13 and should be about 5"7".  We like a sturdy built horse, not a big fan of TB, love the draft crosses and QH crosses and we love paints ( we have 6)  So if you have anything that you think suits please let us know.  Sleepy is irreplaceable but we would love to find something that could make up into something like him!  Wondered about Bentley.  If you see anything in your travels we are actively looking.  Sleepy will go to my son and then other daughter and never leave the farm!  We just wish he could grow.
Thanks,  Pam French  Windemere Farm

Kristy,     Received all the paper work.  I want to thank you for all your professionalism.  We look forward to a long a prosperous relationship.   Thanks again and MERRY CHRISTMAS.                                    Michelle Avila Bic-Alla Farms Arizona (Thank Traci as well for us and wish her a MERRY CHRISTMAS!)

Here's Scotty with his new kid, Ben, the day he arrived. He was not so sure about being in the barn, but even by today has quickly settled into his stall and going out in the paddocks with a buddy nearby.   Scotty (aka "Fluffernutter") is getting settled at his new farm, and he and Ben took their first solo ride today! They rode all around the ring, then we took a little hack around the farm and everyone seemed safe and cheerful.   : ) Kay, Ben & Scotty

Kristy,

Hey - remember me.  I bought "Baxter" from your friend last summer for my daughter and he is doing great.  She won the short stirrup division at Kelly's Ford on him this year.  I check out your website every so often and I was just looking at it and Carbon Copy caught my attention.  Can you tell me a little more about him.  I am looking for something for my youngest daughter who will turn 5 soon.  Thanks and talk to you soon!
Cassandra Scott

Hi Traci,    I wanted to let you know how Spring Fling did last weekend. I have kept her registered name the same but in the barn she is known as Sienna.
So I took Sienna and a seven year old mare to the inspection . Everything went smoothly. Sienna is very quiet at home but I thought she would be more
excited at a new place but no she was very calm, in fact a little too calm for the inspectors taste. Needed more forward drive, more lengthening but
she scored satisfactorily on her confirmation and earned enough points to be certified. She missed by 0.25 of a point being a red preferred but I was
learning too and will understand better another time what is expected.   My other mare scored a red and I did have her branded. Only one blue was
awarded and that went to a beautiful, impressive 4 year old stallion.  All in all a good day.    Sharon

Kristy - Hi, I just wanted to tell you how great "Dually" has been.  Lydia took him to his first show last weekend and he clocked around the courses like he had been showing for years.  He hasn't put a foot wrong since we brought him home, and he has become quite a favorite.   We were definitely the lucky ones to get him!   Thank you for all your help.

Sarah

Dear Kristy,  Gus is so unbelievably adorable. He's very talkative and totally loveable. Especially when I come into the barn and see those little nostrils poking out over the stall door!  I'd love to see more pics of Elvis and personality profile! I think Gus would love a pony to hang out with. The big grey monster is a tad intimidating, but harmless.   I am also still dreaming of Belle. A possibility?  Hope all is great with you. I can't thank you enough for that Bit of Blue out my window!!! Jane Amsterdam

Hello again Kristy,  Just thought I would send along this photo of Heather and Murphy from last year.  It is not the best as Heather had just recently (two days earlier) torn her ACL in her right knee.  But, she was determined to show anyway, despite the swelling,  uselessness and pain in her right knee!  I think you can tell by the look on her face that something is wrong!  Greta Avery, Woodsong Farm

Hi Kristy,
I was window shopping, and noticed your 2006 babies! I can say I'm truly impressed with your 2006 crop! It has been a while since I have come across a farm that has a bunch of lovely babies. Anyway, I would love to know if some are still available? We are interested in showing on the line, and bringing a baby along. We like Picturesque little Prince, Belle of the Ball, and Sunday Edition. Can you give me a price? We hope to hear back from you. Thank You for your time, and congrats on the lovely 2006 foals!  Sincerely,  Leigh Thompson

Hi Kristy,  I hope you are doing well. A friend of mine bought the cutest 2 month old baby out of one your stallions.  I'm going to find out which one and would like to take some pictures for her. A few people we were talking with at a restaurant in Leesburg were talking about the stallion and what a "phenomenal" mover he is. I thought you should know the good talk on the street! I just visited your website to get your email address and saw your current crop -- wow!! Good thing I am still thinking straight or I might go nuts & buy a baby too :-)  Hope you're having a fun summer.
Best regards,  Sandra Silansky

Hello, You were the old owners of Double Take "Petey". I just wanted to thank you for selling him to us. He is doing so well. We are entering a horse show the 11th. He has really adjusted to his new environment.  Here are some pictures of us at his new home. Thank you, Alyssa Boutot

Hey... just thought I'd pass along this picture of Plum.  The lady who bought her is riding her, trainer is in the background.
She went through lots of "this is the wrong horse for me" times early on but I kept reminding her that she wanted a green horse and these trials were all parts of greenies!  Now she absolutely adores the horse!!!  She's jumping 2'6" courses on her in lessons. All along the horse has totally been a saint as I am sure you remember.  It just took Deb a long time to get use to navigating a horse that large (coming off a pony). Anyway, another great match!!  Karin Mustoe

Hi Kristy,    It's Emily McDaniel again. I just wanted to email you and let you know that I took Kiss in a show Saturday April 1st, and it was at my barn.  I had some problems with email, so I wasn't able to send this sooner. I changed her show name to Summer Glamour. We just wanted to have fun, and I wanted to let Kiss have a positive experience for her first time, and she was an angel. We did w/t and go as you please in pleasure, and then baby green. We didn't want to push her, but I decided to go ahead and do the second course in baby green because she was being so good, and she handled everything like a pro! No spooking or anything like that, and Vicki and I are just so proud of her. I wasn't expecting any ribbons, but we placed in baby green. We received a 5th, 6th, and a 4th. It was only her first time too! I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with her and that she is doing wonderfully, and now I always look forward to going to the barn because I am just having so much fun. I've attached a few pictures from the show. Enjoy!  --Emily

Hi Kristy,
Not sure if you remember Bob The Builder, Jill and I just wanted you to know he just won Pony of the Year in the ESEA circuit,  Reserve Champion
in Novice Eq. and Champion in Pleasure pony.  Jill is ready to move up to a nice 16 h horse but does not want to sell Bob.  We need you to find
us another "Bob" to go to the next level.  Everyone just loves him. Keep an eye out for a gentle hunter horse for us.
Love, Jill and Sue Tyler

Hi Kristy:
We are absolutely loving Flame.  This past weekend we took him cross country schooling and he was wonderful.  We also took him to a local hunter show and he was perfect!  We just clipped him, trimmed his feet and put some back shoes on him.  He loads on the trailer like a dream!  He is so cute.  He is signed up for an Event College to culminate with the Weave A Dream HT this spring. Anyway, this email wasn't about Flame, I told you on one of our phone calls that I have a friend looking for a fancy large pony that is safe.  The little girl is 8 years old and has been riding for 2 years at Potomac Horse Center.  They have just fenced their property, built a barn and an arena, so he would be a very fancy backyard pony!  He would have to be really quiet, so mom and dad could feel comfortable with the little girl riding without a trainer.  Do you have anything that would fit?
Thanks,  Anne Corbeille

Dunk is still the barn favorite!!! He is the cutest thing. Dunk took a bit of a break from the shows this winter while Phoebe and I headed to Florida.
(We have a few schooling shows this month but the kid is doing her first "A" show in April.) She is doing great with him and spoils him rotten. He is
very hairy, very hairy, but will be getting body clipped in the next month. He has made 2 turnout buddies, both ponies, although one of them is teaching him how to run from the guys!  Dunk is such a saint that my 3 year old niece has been riding him. (walking)
So, he has quite the fan club. I will definitely ask the Matthews to get  some pictures together to send. That would make their day. Also, I was
looking through a kids magazine, I think the name was " Horse Feathers" and I swear he is in there. Do you know if he did any modeling? :)
The weather has not been good here either, snow and ice. But the good thing about Memphis is that it is 30 one week and 75 the next. I am ready for spring. I will stay in touch and let you know how he is doing. Tell the kids that we love him here and he has made a little girl very happy.
Amanda

Hey,
I just wanted to let you know that Ty aka Rockefeller did great at his first horse show! We got 2 1st and 1 2nd. I was very proud of him. We just did 3 flat classes this time. I am enjoying him very much. Talk to you soon.  Jen

Hi Kristy-It's Erin Black. We bought "Monte Carlo" from you in late November. I really can't say enough good things about him. He is just as perfect as he was the first day I rode him... he is so good to me! He makes me feel so confident and he is such a pleasure to ride. In November, I was thrilled at the thought of having an entire season to bond with him, but now that he's here and everything is going so well, I can't wait to start the new show season. We just started doing some fences at 3' (and got that ever so important first fall out of the way, while we were at it! haha) and he is just so easy. (We even finally found a saddle that fits!) Hopefully you can pass this onto his former owner- I'm sure they miss him! Thank you so much for everything you've done- you were right, he's the one!
Erin Black

Hey Kristy,
I just wanted to let you know that he is doing GREAT! We have been jumping around a little and nothing phases him. We finally got around to body clipping
him last Friday and he looks awsome. I am so happy with him. We have our first show on Feb 26th so I will let you know how he does. My webshot link is
http://community.webshots.com/user/Sidekick05 if you would like to see pictures of him and I update it as much as possible. I am getting photos taken of
him on Saturday so I will put them up sometime next week. Thanks again.
Jennifer

Kristy, Thanks so much for the pictures. He is doing great! I am really having fun with him, we had our first lesson last Saturday and we jumped around and he never looked at a thing. I think he settled in fine and is adjusting well to his routine. I will keep you up dated on how he is doing. We are having a show at my barn, Yarmouth Stables, at the end of February and I think we are going to do a few classes so I will let you know how he does. These are 2 pictures that I took of him when we got him home that I thought was cute, I hope you like them.      Jen

Hi Kristy! This is Emily McDaniel, a student of Vicki Philips. I bought Kiss from you in late November. I just wanted to thank you for showing us your sale horses and being so informative. I absolutely love Kiss! She is doing wonderful and I can't wait for summer! I wanted to ask, because I can't remember what you had said, about her background as far as breeding and what her parents did if you know, and their names? Here is a link to some pictures: http://community.webshots.com/album/546589672RbaKlD
 Thanks again

 Emily McDaniel

Hi Kristy-

Evan is doing GREAT! We have done 2 lessons so far, and he is just perfect... have a neck strap on him, so she can get up there and hold on
to it and stretch those heels down, and work on proper placement of her leg.... He just does his job with no complaints!! We love him... she is
working on coming up with a show name for him... so if you do talk to Emil, please ask him about that, in case it is something she likes...
Sincerely,
Kahti Motley

Sorry I forgot to give my name. I'm Lauren Weber, but I'm not from around there. I came down from Pennsylvania last summer, I think it was June 26 to July 3. I don't think I'll be able to come to the day camps since I'm so far away and don't really know people down there. But even though I won't be able to come this year, the camp was great last year and I had a great time. I rode Delilah a couple times, and if I didn't already have a horse, I would have bought her. The horses there are great, and the counselors were very nice. I think it was Caroline and Elizabeth. Ok well, I just wanted to let you know that you're doing a great job.
Lauren

Hey everybody, how's it going?  Eddie is doing great.  We just love him.  Peg showed him at the Barracks last month.  He did very well.  Got ribbons in every Pre green class.  He is jumping great.3' doesn't seem to bother him at all. The Barracks can be a very scary place for a green horse. (For any horse)  He just keeps getting better and better. I am taking lessons on him and having a blast.   He is such a quick learner, and so forgiving with my mistakes.  Nothing seems to bother him.  Thanks Happy New Year. Nandine

Oh Kristy I forgot to mention that we actually bought a horse from you guys before, it was at the Virginia sale w/ the Professional Auction group.
His name was Curious Rhythm, or Forrest we call him at the barn. He's doing wonderful and we're planning to do him in the A/O's this year, just
thought Kristy would like to hear that :)  Talk to you soon!

Hey Kristy!

It's Shannon just checking in.  Congrats on your team's success at finals!  Brass is loving college life.  I'm at Virginia Intermont College now.  I keep him at a smaller barn not far from the school barn.  We trailer over about once a week for lessons at the school barn.  He had a rough summer, and now he's getting back in shape and progressing nicely.
Shannon Otto

Kristy   -   Pepper (sold to us as Derek) went to his first driving show today, a schooling show, went in 5 classes, came home with 2 firsts, 1 second, a third and a fourth out of 8 entries in each class - He has been to pony club lessons and hasn't missed a beat - still doesn't like clippers or the vacuum but is slowly learning that they don't bite too hard.
Thanks
Leslie

Hey Kristy,This is Katie smith. I bought Zachary from you  a few years ago and I also went to camp at your barn. I'm the chicken, I was scared of every horse you put me on :-) anyway. We changed Zachary's name to Spanky. I'm sure Donna told you about that, anyway we just went to the state horse show for Hunter Hack and we won! I just thought I'd let you know how he was doing.  And also I only rode him 3 times before hand! I'm so happy that I got him.   Hopefully I'll be able to come down to your camp next year.
Talk To you later.
Katie Smith

Hi Kristy,

First of all, I want to tell you how much we are loving Dunk.  Meredith is having a ball and is looking forward to the short stirrup this spring.

I was looking on your website and was wondering if you had a tape on "Petey".  I have another beginner, a little timid, and he looks adorable.

If it is no trouble, I would love a tape when you return.  He sounds adorable, and we like lazy! Dunk was champion at a little local show yesterday.

The kid was so excited.   I keep waiting for that pony to do something wrong.  He is a saint, and loved by everyone at the barn.

Hope you have a good trip and I will talk to you soon.

Thanks,  Amanda

Dear Picturesque,
I got a horse from you named William.  He has done real well with me and I have devoted a lot of time and effort into him.  He has been saddle broke for about 2 years now.  He occassionally has his moments but we get along great.  I changed his name to Fast and Furious, but we call him Fury for short.  He foxhunted, was my outrider horse at the races, and has been to a few lower level horse trials.  He's got a good home full of patience.
Just thought I'd let you know how I made out!
   Thank you,    Alyssa Conlin

Hi Kristy,  We bought Sandy from you, and we really love her, she is great with our girls, who love to ride her, and groom her ,and just love on her! Clare Ferrell

Hi, Kristy.

Here is another Dandy update.  Dandy competed at the USGPL Finals show this week at Culpeper.  Just wanted to let you know how he did.  He placed second in the Level 2 Jumper class on Wednesday.  On Thursday, he didn't have a very good warm-up, so he had the last rail down in the speed phase of the class, which meant he placed out of the ribbons.  On Friday, he won his class by 5/10 of a second in front of the first place horse--he made turns that I didn't think he could make, jumping the next jump with about a stride in front of him.  As a result, he won the Reserve Championship for the Level 2 Jumper division.  To top it all off, he was High Point Level 2 Jumper--which thrilled me to no end.

I'm going to put a thank you, congratulatory ad, in the October 14, 2005, edition of the Chronicle of the Horse, for the two guys that rode him for me.
He also went to the Winston National where he placed second and third in the Level 2 Jumper class.  He did not show on Friday, due to all that rain that they were having

Hi Kristy,
This is Susan Nelms.  Wanted to let you know that I have purchased a horse, and wanted to thank you for showing Benny to me. I REALLY liked him and was tempted.  I wish you lived closer as I'd love to take lessons from you.
You have  a lovely place and I just like  your style.

Happy Riding, Susan

Hey Kristy, its always a pleasure to recommend your farm to prospective horse buyers. I was going to wait and send you another update on Duchess
after our next show in August, but since you asked! Duchess is glowingly happy, dappled and as spoiled as ever. Last year Sophia and Duchess were
Res. Champs (Eastern Hunter Association) in the Childrens division, and 3rd in Eq. 3ft-O/F and 3rd Eq. U/S. We were very proud this being Duchess's
second real year of showing competively(sp?). So far this year we are in First place, out of 5 shows Sophia and Duchess have been Champion 3 times.
I will try and send some new pictures after the next show as there will be a professional photographer there. Duchess has really come into her own
comformationally, where she was very refined looking when we purchased her, she now looks very much more like a warmblood. I think the thing that has
changed the most is her head, its hard to explain, you'll have to see it in a picture, then you can understand what I'm trying to say, But she still
has that same sweet eye.
It's amazing how many "leary of mares" people she has turned around, or atleast they say if they could find one with her temperment they'd snap them
up in a minute. She has just been a dream and if I'd known just how social she has turned out to be I believe we may have ended up naming her Social
Butterfly.
I will also try to send you a video of our next show, I think you'd be really surprised to see just how mature your baby has become. I know it
sound silly but I do believe in my heart that Duchess really does love the show scene. Sophia says hello!
Stacey Taylor

Hi Kristy,

Hannah and Brooke are doing fantastic!  Greg Best had them jumping around a 2'6" course, and Hannah did it with great style.  He loves her, as does everyone else in the barn. We just found out that our friend Tara West actually bought her horse Rocky from you years ago, and we all love Rocky too.  Now, everybody says they're coming to you next time they are in the market to go horse shopping :)   Thanks for all of your help, we'll keep in touch :)
Regards,  Nicole

Hi, Kristy.

I just wanted to let you know how Dandy did at Culpeper this past week.  I noticed that you had a couple of ponies competing, and I hoped you could have seen him or I could have talked with you; however, he went home on Friday morning after his classes.

On Wednesday, he showed in both Level 2 and Level 3 Jumper.  He placed fifth in the Level 2 and won nothing in Level 3 (his first time showing over that height).  On Thursday, he showed in only the Level 2 Jumper, which he placed first (I was shocked).  On Friday, he showed in only the Level 2 Jumper, which he placed fifth.  He went home after his class, not knowing the division results.  The guy who rode him for me, called me today, and told me that Dandy was champion in the Level 2 Jumper division.  I was totally shocked and thrilled.

I just wanted to let you also know that pictures where taken with me on him at Morven Park (in the Level 1 Jumper division).  As soon as I can get them electronically, I will send them to you.

Karen Paul

Hi Kristy,

Hannah loves her new home and her new Mommy!  She trailered great, like a pro.  She stumbled coming off the ramp, but no injuries, thank God.  She is such a good horse, it was pitch dark when we arrived, and we walked her for about 30 min. all around the property; she did not peek at one thing!  I couldn't be happier for Brooke, this is definitely the perfect match!  Her feet are getting done today, but we'll probably wait to ride her till Wednesday, since she hasn't had any turnout for 4 days.  We'll keep you updated on her progress.  Thank you for all of your help, it was a pleasure working with you.

IThanks so much!

Nicole Palmer

Dear Kristy,

Bob The Builder celebrated his 6th birthday and I just celebrated my 13th. We still work hard together and everyone loves Bob so much. We just won High Point Champion in our local 4H show. We won $150.00 worth of prizes. Currently we are competing for points in the Eastern Shore Circut. I will let you know how we do. Enclosed is a photo of us and I hope you see improvement!

Love,
Jill and Bob

This is Tori, i bought Panda about a year ago, i thought i might show you a picture from his first show! we ended up getting a 4th,and a 2nd. i love him so much, we are moving to Maryland and im very excited that i can continue to get him more training up there!<3 Tori, Richmond Va

Kristy:

Wanted to let you know that Rio finished 2nd in dressage (out of 30 horses) at our first horse trials (Spring Bay in Lexington, KY). Had some issues with water (had never schooled over water obstacles before the trials) but went clear in jumping. Am attaching a picture of one of his cross country jumps. He LOVES cross country and we were thrilled with his dressage results.
I am currently working as barn manager for the Virginia Intermont program. We have just under 100 horses in our care. My folks and I are closing later this month on an 82 acre farm just north of here. I hope to start a training facility while continuing to work with the VI program. Will be looking for more young prospects once we get settled on our farm. Keep me in mind if you come across anything promising.
Hope all is well with you. . . McClure Jackson

hey Kristy!

I was just reading all of the letters from EVERYONE on your page and decided to send one of my own. Jesse is doing REALLY well... now she's retired to trails only, but she's still convinced that she's under 5... geeky mare, lol. Well any way...I'll definately be seeing you this summer at your shows, i'm bring Devon (OTTB mare).  All the horses say hi, and Ginger is still around... we really thought we were going to have to put her down in December (she could hardly walk), but we loaded her up on bute for a little while and now she's fine. That pony is invincible! Obviously she's off of the bute now, and she's running around being the princess pony she's always been. Hope the pictures work, and the paint is Lily (PMU baby...), she'll be a yearling on May 17th, and she's already 15:1hh... big baby.

Erica Hellandsjo

Kristy,

Picasso is doing great.  He has taken up with the miniature donkeys. My two daughters are interested in your overnight summer camps.  Do you have information on this going summer's camps?  Thanks so much.  We will be looking for another pony next fall.  We'll be sure to come to you.  Picasso is great and such a wonderful personality.

Hi Kristy:

I just wanted to touch base with you to tell you how thrilled we are with RT...who we now call "Dakota" (because he was born in North Dakota). He is wonderful with all of us and is everything you said and more (including very spoiled from all of the attention and grooming that he gets...not to mention treats).  Thanks so much...

Melissa Lieberman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kristy:

Just thought I would let you know how Princeton fared on the way home on Friday.  He did great on the trailer, I stopped at Tom's Brook to check on him and give him a treat, and other than sweating a bit (I'm sure he was nervous), he was fine.  He stuck his head out the door, looked around and happily began munching his hay.

We arrived in Lexington w/o incident, only to run into complications when I went to pick up Phoenix.  It took longer than I expected to pick him up because no one was there and there were sheep blocking the way out for Phoenix that I couldn't quite herd by myself, so we had to go around the long way, via some cross fencing.  Princeton stood on the trailer munching hay like a pro, not a sound, no stomping his feet nothing.  When Phoenix got on the trailer they just sniffed each other and tried to touch noses through the wall in the trailer.

When we arrived home, we unloaded Phoenix first since Princeton seemed so unbothered by being in the trailer and to give him more room to back out.  Then the fun began, Princeton seemed convinced that if he backed out of the trailer he would surely die.  He would bump his hip against the butt bar and be sure that meant he couldn't move that way, he tried to turn around a few times, but with a little coaching I was able to convince him that there really was a ramp behind him and everything would be OK, It didn't take long for him to seem to trust me and he did indeed slowly back out of the trailer.  I walked him through the gate into the field and Phoenix of course came over to investigate, I quickly unfastened his halter in case I had to get out of the way since I didn't really know how they would react to each other.

They were both completely calm.  I removed Princeton's halter, the two of them walked up to each other, touched noses and began to graze.  You would think they had known each other their whole lives.  Now whenever I am in the field adjusting a blanket or anything on one the other one is always right there.  They will actually touch each other and not mind at all.  They often graze just a few feet apart and they will drink out of the stock tank at the same time.

It's unbelievable, you would think they had always been together.  Neither one is bothered at all by the neighbors dogs which came to the fence to bark, and Phoenix hardly cribbed at all the whole weekend, they both seem so content, I'm thrilled.  Princeton is getting more comfortable with people coming into the field and he follows Phoenix right over to the fence when he sees us coming, my niece was even able to feed a couple carrots this weekend.

Princeton and I will have to have some trailer loading lessons over the next couple weeks to prepare for our lessons, but I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks so much,
Marianna

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kristy,

I just wanted to get in touch with about how Graf is doing. We are so pleased with him and cant believe how amazing he his. He is truly something special. We have gone to a few local shows with him just to get him out and besides the green stuff he has been great. I get so many compliments on him and how amazing he is. We have a pro riding him along with myself and he has already come along in his training by leaps and bounds. He is such a blast to ride and beautiful to watch. Hopefully we are going to move up to the "A" shows within the next month or two once he gets a couple more local shows under his belt and start doing the children's hunters and pre-green stuff. We cant wait to see where all this go with all his talent. It's very exciting for everyone who is involved. Thank you for everything and I hope all is well,

Maggie Burrus

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kristy,

We've gotten through our first week with Jax and love him as much as you said we would!  He is everything I had hoped he'd be - quiet, sweet, comfortable, willing, capable, and handsome!  I was a little nervous about this whole process of buying my first horse, but you really had the perfect match for me.  I'm looking forward to many years of fun with Jax.  Thanks again!

-- Michelle Francis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi ,
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!  "Blue and Kasey" are doing just great.  They have come a long way. They are doing courses now
and he is the cutest little e jumper.  He is also great when it comes to dressage ,he really knows how to show off his stuff and boy does he.  We
thought we would bump things up a little this year.  We are heading to Florida.  I am also taking my baby it should be allot of fun.  We will
let you no how things went and send pictures. Blue and Kasey were also Reserve year end Champs.  She was so happy!!
Well thanks again for showing us "The Wonderful Farnely War Bonnet"  He is a gem and we love him very much.
Love and Licks

Just wanted to keep in touch and wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from me and Sebastian.

It is hard to believe, but I have had Sebastian 2 years now.  He continues to be a wonderful horse and has really progressed well in his training.  Best of
all, he takes good care of me.  We have never had a scary incident and he is always brave and honest to the jumps, even when I am not!  He delights me
every day when I whistle and leaves his buds to come to the gate to greet me.  If I am late, he is waiting at the gate looking down the lane for me.  We are
still at Hazelwild and are happy there.  I miss Barbara and Liza terribly and haven't met anyone to ride with as they are all young college girls.  I hesitate
to leave there though as the care is so good for Sebastian.
If we have some nice days coming up, I will try to give you a call and bring Sebastian up to see you.  How are your trails across the road?  Are you still
keeping them up with all this rainy weather?  Please send along my regards to your Mother.  I surely miss those days at Deja Vu.
As Ever,  Ellen

I wanted to let you know that the Kallighan's and I absolutely adore Tiny Dancer (aka Gabrielle)!  She has turned out to be even better and  more
tolerant than we thought she would be.
She is so special that the Kallighan's have decided to breed her for a large for Diane to grow into and when the time comes her younger brother will
take over Dancer.  Anyway I wanted to know if you  have any suggestions on a good match for her.  We want a large from the breeding so we were thinking of a
thoroughbred stallion but are open to any suggestions so if you could lend some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted you to know that Henry (In Black and White) is safe and sound in his new home. He snorted a little when we took him off the trailer but that was about it. The have put him out with Remi and they get along great. Henry rest his head on Remi's back and Remi can walk right under Henry's chin. Amanda rode him Sunday and he was a good boy. Our trainer rode him today and he showed her he knew his job. He's really great. We will keep you posted on how he's doing.  Amanda can't wait to see the pics you're sending her. Thanks for everything.  Torri
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Attached is a picture of Baron. Megan placed 6th in a 4-H show a couple of weekends ago. This class was NOT a small fry class. All the other riders were 12 yrs old and up. Meg was the smallest so we were very proud of her and Baron. He is an absolute angel!!!!! We love him and he is really happy here. We spoil him like you wouldn't believe and he just loves all the attention he gets. I have him on supplements for his joints and hooves. He is ridden almost every day and I massage him at least 3 times a week. (My husband is starting to get jealous!) Megan is even riding him bareback in the indoor arena. She actually "lays" on his back and he carefully walks around. She is doing halter work with him too. He will walk and trot beside her without a lead rope! He just follows her like a big puppy dog. I just can't say enough about him we are so grateful to have him. We have a pretty big show coming up in 2 weeks. I'll send you some more photos.
Take Care - Kim

Kristy, more news about Duchess,  at our last two shows she was reserve champ (Childrens) and has earned Sophia 2 blues in Eq. over Fences (3ft).
The girl really does love to jump and can finess a rollback like you've never seen.  Now I have a favor to ask,  I want to put a little album
together for Sophia for Christmas (of Duchess of course) and was wondering if you had any baby pics, yearling or random pics of Duchess you could part with.  I would need you to mail them to me and I would be glad to send you the postage.  You can email me back at this address if you think this is possible, also if you have a pic of her mom that would be fantastic.  As I have said each time I have corresponded to you, we love Duchess so much, honestly I'm not sure if you could ever find a more spoiled horse, it is almost sickening the way we dote on her.
Thanks Stacey Taylor

Hello Hello,  Just a quick note to let you know Keeper (ex Teddy) is doing well. He is a great trail horse!  It is so nice to go just about anywhere with company or alone and he goes. we cross water, ditches, bridges of any kind and he just goes. He was alarmed over coming across a hitched team of huge Belgians. wondering if he ever saw a hitched team with a covered wagon before.. ha ha... We have fun on the trail...
I have started taking him to lessons, too.. We are working on control up and down hills.  maintaining  a constant smooth pace. esp with other horses and dogs running by.  I am slowing getting some leg strength and we are working on our transitions.. I am really enjoying taking lessons again and Keeper is a willing
student.  When we come together as a team we will try our hand at our first fox hunt this fall...  Keeper's social life involves his friend, solomon the mule , and the old girl, fox (20 year old Tb mare).  He likes the mare, but she doesn't care for him.,  keeper really loves the mule.  they are buddies! He has his own stall and his own paddock and pasture.  they are all free to come in and go out at leisure.. He knows feeding time and does not have to be called twice to come in!!   Thought you could let Tom know that Keeper(teddy) is doing well with his new life..  Rhonda

Hey Kristy,
So far, Nate is working out really well.  We've foxhunted him once, taken him to a pony club rally and tomorrow he goes in his first
combined test.  We love him to pieces and he seems to be settling in really well.  His teeth really did need doing.  Our equine dentist had
to actually cut his teeth before he could even file them.  Now, Nate is beginning to really accept the bit dressage style.
Anyway, so far, so REALLY good.  Many thanks and I hope you're well.

Kristy,    I wanted to let you know how much Anna enjoy your camp last week.  We have heard all about the horses and many fun adventures she experienced.  She
will always cherish these fond memories.  Thanks for hosting such a wonderful camp!  Fondly,  Wendy Osborn

Kristi,

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your help with buying Nutmeg.  She's everything I'd hoped she would be, and more.   My grandkids have been out to ride her and she was the perfect lady, no silliness or rude behavior.  Several of my little granddaughters are lined up for lessons with Donna and I have great hopes that I'll have a future equestrian in the family.  Thanks so much for your honest representation of your pony.  I hope, in the future, to convince my husband to get on the riding bandwagon and if I'm successful I'll contact you about purchasing a gentle, bombproof mount.
Sincerely, Judy Bergman
PS:  I'll send you a digital picture as soon as I get a good one with a child on Nutty.  Also, her summer coat has grown in and she is a beautiful little buckskin.  It's hard not to fall in love with her

Duchess (show name "Aim For Fame") is truly a wonderful mare, as you can see she is fit as a fiddle and very happy.  Everyone that watches her jump says she is truly happy doing what she does.  Sophia and Duchess are made for each other and Kristy as you saw for yourself the day we came to look at the other horses you had, they clicked instantly.  All I can say is we were at the right place at the right time.  We love Duchess and could not be happier, she has won the hearts of my entire family with her sweet disposition.  This picture was taken at the Rock Springs Equestrian Center in Greenville, NC at one of our Eastern Hunter Association Shows.  Duchess comes alive when we get to a show and performs her heart out.  People always ask us where we found her and I proudly tell them we purchased her from your farm, she is a great testimony for you.  Thanks for bringing her into our lives.
Sophia and Stacey Taylor

Dear Kristy,  Thank you so much for showing us Sandy and Nutmeg last week.  We have decided to go with another pony at this point.  My client really
liked Nutmeg but she was more money than she wanted to spend right now.  I wanted to tell you that I thought your students did a wonderful job showing
the ponies and were very polite and helpful to us. Thanks again and I will be sure to call you if  I have anyone else looking
in the future.  Donna Gatchell

Hello, Just an update on Keeper (teddy) he continues to do very well.. He is enjoying his gentle massages around his head and accepting the touch on the ears.. we are making progress. I am so happy with him out on the trails.. We took a new road and went over a bridge that consisted of poured cement with no railings. it was very strange looking.  at first he was not enjoying the idea and did want to turn back, but with just a little urging and i mean a little, he snorted and went to work.. moved right on over it and
up the hill... Ha!!!  That is what I wanted. A horse that will go and trust me.. Keeper and I are growing more and more as a team.. I take a lot of time grooming him and talking with him and he seems to enjoy this very much.. He is funny in that he likes to take my manure fork and carry it, also I have to watch as he will lift up my manure bucket, while i am cleaning out his stall and paddock.. He has his freedom to be in his stall paddock or pasture. they are all open... I did buy him two large balls to play
with and he does move the one from paddock to pasture and back again.. It is a riot to watch... Keeper does come when called now, of course there is usually a treat in it for him...
He needed a little help accepting my farrier the first time. would not stand for him.. ( I was not home) But on the second visit with me holding him, he did just fine.. Tonight the vet comes to give him all his shots. It will be the first time my vet will see him...  Please Know that he is doing well, I am really enjoying him.. Thank You. Rhonda

kristy,
Wasn't sure which address to use so am trying both.  Just when you thought you heard all the bragging there was to be done on Sebastian, here I am to
brag some more! Last month we went on a judged trail ride at the battlefield with Barbara and  Jeff.  Sebastian was just awesome.  He went over and through ever obstacle
just as brave as he could be.  He did things he didn't know he could do!  We are supposed to go to another, this Sunday at the Marriot Ranch in Hume. We
are having so much fun together and have built a wonderful bond.  You wouldn't believe him if you saw him.  He gets down on the bit and trots
around like a real dressage horse.  People are amazed at how well he is going.  We had all winter to school, but now it is time to mix in some fun.
When the weather permits, we get out in the fields and do hill work and jump a few logs to build up his stamina.  At first, his breathing was a problem
and I was a bit worried, but with time and conditioning he is doing so much better.  I really don't expect it to be a problem.  We are ready to start
doing some fun things so it looks like I will be in the market for another trailer.  He is the type of guy that I can throw in the trailer, with or
without another horse and head out.  If you know of anyone selling a cheap stock trailer, let me know.  I don't want or need anything fancy, just
something roomy enough for him.  Once I have a trailer, I can take him to Deja Vu to meet up with Lisa and Terry and bring him over to your place to
show off and entice you to go riding with me.  Hopefully we can hook up with you in the late summer/fall for the "dog food" hunt warm ups.
I miss being at your Mom's and seeing you there.  I just hate it that she is leaving, but understand her rationale.  It is going to be tough on you not
having her around as well. Thanks again for hooking me up with Sebastian.  At long last I have a horse  that I can trust and truly enjoy.  I just can't think of enough good things
to say about him, but trust when me, when I do think of more things to brag about, you'll be one of the first to hear it!
As Ever,  Ellen

Hi, Kristy-Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how Duchess is doing.  She is doing really well and has become the barn favorite.  She and Sophia have bonded extremely fast. We finally made it to our Trainers 2 weeks ago and Duchess did well and our trainer loved her.  I did call and ask Debbie if her wolf teeth had been pulled, and she was not sure.  I can't thank you enough for working with me on the payment arrangements and hope it has worked out well for you.  When we get some good pic's of Duchess I will email them to you.  Also we wanted to use "Aim for Fame" as her show name and register her as such, do you know if this name has been taken or used.  We are taking her to a small schooling show on  March 29, I will let you know how she does.  Thanks so much.

When I met you in '96 I was finally fulfilling a life long dream to own horses.    I had been shopping around for six + months and came upon your farm.
Out of all of the places I had been to, you were the only one that gave me the personal attention that a 37 year old timid beginner needed.  I knew almost nothing about horses and riding.  Before meeting you I had only eight months of weekly lessons. I was purchasing my first horse that I was keeping at home.  You paired me up with a wonderful, broke western trail horse, Smokey.  You both taught me so much.  In '97, I wanted to learn English.  I purchased Snoopy.  A 16 yr old TB that had performed well in hunter/jumper and is 2nd level dressage.  Still not having a good seat, you spent endless hours teaching me to ride and care for these awesome animals.
In '98, I fell in love with Cartoon.  I just had to have this yearling.  Having now some basic knowledge of horses, I knew nothing about owning a baby.   Again, whenever I needed help you came running.  When it was time to get Toon under saddle you taught me enough to start him on my own.  When I got discouraged you picked me up and moved us forward.  Toon is a wonderful ring and trail horse.
Unfortunately in 2000 Smokey became very ill.  You helped me through this very sad time.  You offered to go to Morvan Park with me when I had to make one of the hardest decisions in my life.  I was now without a guest horse.  You know...one you could put anyone on and know the rider was safe.  You found Harley.  I could go on and on and on, but I think I'll just say THANK YOU for being a GREAT friend and for always being there.  Love, Judy Hanzel

Thanks for my new horse.  I bought Minute from you in November and am extremely happy with him he is exactly what I need to regain my confidence as
a rider.  I am totally in love & he has it made.  Thank you Kristy!!!!
I will always refer people to you for the selection & honesty that you present.

Hi Kristy,

I just wanted to thank you again for all the help you have given us over the years. We jumped into the horse owning arena with no knowledge of what we were doing, but complete faith in your abilities to  "find a perfect match". Ben far exceeded our expectations. He is truly one in a million - a beautiful, show quality Thoroughbred, with the gentleness to carry little girls safely around bareback, the patience to teach a terrified beginner adult, and a puppy dog personality . When we were ready for a second horse, we were looking for a horse that could wear many hats (or saddles in this case). We wanted an inexpensive, dead quiet, trail horse, able to take a non rider for a western trail ride, but fancy enough to compete in local Hunter Shows. Zip not only met our wish list, but was an experienced Hunt horse.  I know you are familiar with his success in meeting our needs - pinning at Lexington in Short Stirrup and Pleasure with our daughter, yet willing to give a Husband his first English riding lessons. What you haven't seen is Zip center stage on the field at the 140th Antietam Reenactment with 15,000 civil war reenactors, rifle & cannon fire discharging and Calvary units galloping past. He was so perfect, no one could believe that he had never been to a reenactment before. When I added that I was out on the field for the first time as well and that we had a sum total of 30 minutes training on reproduction civil war "McClellan" tack, experienced riders were offering to purchase Zip on the spot and load him on their trailer, no further questions asked. Of course there were those who said "Sure, he can go out on the field with the action and artillery fire, but wait until the parade when he has to squeeze between crowds of onlookers". I am proud to say that he did any job required. Zip was the ONLY horse on the courier staff willing to march behind a 6 foot "Bonnie Blue" flag that waved in his face while a marching drum corps followed along at his tail.  Even when a more "experienced" horse spooked and refused, he calmly walked up to fill the empty space. Many thanks for finding that one in a million horse not only once, but twice for our family.

Sincerely, The Graziano Family
